Tragedy at work: 22-year-old dies stuck in waste compactor belt

Tragedy at work in Monza, where a worker died stuck in a waste compaction conveyor belt .
The young man was just 22 years old and worked in the Corioni company which deals with waste disposal and environmental remediation.
The accident occurred this afternoon, shortly before 4:00 p.m., on Via Comunale per Cinisello. When the rescuers arrived, alerted by their colleagues, there was nothing more that could be done for the boy. The doctors could only confirm his death.
The firefighters also intervened on site to free the body of the trapped young man. The men of the ATS, the agents of the Monza Police Headquarters and those of the Scientific Police have started the investigations to establish the exact dynamics and the possible responsibility of third parties in terms of failure to comply with safety regulations.
