13 people are the recipients of precautionary measures as they are believed to be involved, for various reasons, in a traffic of stolen cars as part of an investigation called "Strada del Francese" and followed by the Judicial Police Squad of the Turin Traffic Police.

The alleged thefts, from what emerges in the order issued by the investigating judge which contains 71 counts, are 31. The crimes hypothesized are those of multiple theft, receiving stolen goods and money laundering .

A prison has been set up for two spouses who, according to the elements gathered, were dedicated to the theft of small and medium-sized cars (usually Fiat 500, Fiat Panda, Lancia Ypsilon, Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Giulia) and for the two owners of a car demolition in Turin that, again according to the hypothesis of the accusation, they would have received the stolen cars and would have then dismantled them to sell the parts to third parties. Domiciliary for the two owners of the Leinì car demolition and for two employees of the Turin demolition.

The obligation to sign was instead applied to the suspects who would have had the role of "intermediaries" and / or "fences" who would have bought, during the investigation phase, some stolen cars.
