Threatened and abused elderly, three people under arrest

The Carabinieri of the Nas of Rome have ordered 3 house arrest, 2 orders for disqualification measures and 7 search decrees as part of an investigation aimed at ascertaining episodes of mistreatment in a community housing for the elderly on the Lazio coast.

The investigations, supported by audio-video and telephone interceptions, made it possible to ascertain, against the elderly guests of the structure, physical and verbal harassment by the operators, with tugs, blows, insults, threats and, in some episodes, even throwing objects.

Also ascertain omissions in treatment as well as massive sedation.
