About thirty parents burst into the school and assault a support teacher . The episode occurred Thursday morning in Scanzano, a hamlet of Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) , under the eyes of the victim's parents.

Due to the numerous blows she received , the teacher suffered a head injury , while the father who tried to defend her suffered a broken wrist.

The Carabinieri intervened on the spot to save the teacher from the fury of her parents. The brutal attack was caused by rumors, yet to be verified, spread on social media about alleged behavior by the teacher towards some students .

The attack occurred during school hours, at 10:30, in the “Salvati” middle school . The school, run by principal Donatella Ambrosio, was awarded by the Minister of Education, Giuseppe Valditara, for the great care given to the children, which resulted in an award for being the first school in Italy to activate funds for the summer PON, with windsurfing courses for children who remained in the city and other summer camps dedicated to them.

The mayor of Castellammare di Stabia Luigi Vicinanza firmly condemned the attack, these are his words: «An episode of enormous gravity and extreme violence . I trust in the investigative capacity of the Carabinieri to ascertain the truth of the facts. We must restore serenity to the school as soon as possible, among the students, their parents and the teaching staff».
