Optimism about new therapies to treat bronchitis and breathing difficultiesPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The Pope spent "a quiet night" , consistent with the clinical picture for which he was admitted yesterday to the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome . This is what we learn from several Vatican sources; all of them reassure us about Bergoglio's state of health.
According to news agencies , the fever should have also gone down .
Pope Francis "spent a peaceful night and slept well. This morning he had breakfast and read some newspapers ," said the director of the Vatican press office Matteo Bruni, adding that " the tests and therapies are continuing ."
Yesterday the Pope arrived at the Gemelli hospital very out of breath due to breathing difficulties caused by excess phlegm; evidently the “homemade” treatment for bronchitis had not given the expected results.
There is, however, optimism about the new therapy that began yesterday immediately after the tests and certification that the Pope is suffering from a respiratory tract infection.
