First he brutally beat him with kicks and punches, then he came back with a huge knife and slashed his face with a very deep cut. The victim is Don Mario, the parish priest of Santa Maria Annunziata di Fidenza, in the province of Parma. The attacker was a 57-year-old Milanese housed in the rectory.

According to what was reconstructed, the prelate had reprimanded him because he was listening to the music too loud, around 11 pm last night. The homeless man in response had attacked him hitting him everywhere.

Don Mario managed to escape and take refuge in a room in the parish. While calling for help, the 57-year-old broke down the door, this time armed with a knife with a blade of 20 centimeters with which he slashed the priest. One of these got him a deep cut on his face.

When the carabinieri arrived at the scene, they immobilized the attacker and arrested him on charges of attempted murder, very serious injuries and permanent scarring of the face, one of the new criminal figures introduced by the “Red Code” legislation. Now he is in prison in Parma. The victim is hospitalized in serious condition.
