Meanwhile, the Verzeni family does not give up and, through its lawyer Luigi Scudieri, assures that "Sharon's vile murderer must know that no obstacle will ever stop his identification ". They thank "the citizens, the mayor of Terno d'Isola and the volunteers of Mu.Re. for the collaboration provided in these hours aimed at allowing investigators to carry out appropriate investigations at the crime scene", the relatives add hopefully even if the two days of searching for the murder weapon, a knife of no small size, do not seem to have yielded the desired results.
"It seems a little late now. Should it have been done before? In my opinion, yes. It seems that they probably had more urgent things to check before, but it's not my job, I can't judge," commented Sergio Ruocco regarding the searches that began yesterday and that today involved the area closest to via Merelli, where Sharon lived with him. Since the night of the crime, between July 29 and 30, Ruocco has been a guest of the parents of the murdered woman, since their house is under seizure. "A month has passed and I'm having a hard time, as usual, unfortunately," he said after returning to his in-laws' house after work: "Going back to work in this situation is not the best, I obviously felt the affection of the colleagues who are close to me."
