A 54-year-old man ended up in jail twelve years after he was arrested for drunk driving. It happened in Carate Brianza, in the province of Monza. The motivation? the lawyer had forgotten to ask for the sentence to be suspended.

On Saturday evening the carabinieri notified the 54-year-old the execution order while he was in a bar. Amazed, when the military accompanied him to the barracks he learned that he was destined to atone for 6 months of imprisonment and to pay a fine of over 3 thousand euros, since no one has ever made any request for suspension of the sentence.

The man has nothing left but to follow the carabinieri in prison in Monza.
