The reasons for the life sentence by the Milan Assize Court: «It was animated by a futile and selfish motive»

Alessia Pifferi, sentenced to life imprisonment for abandoning little Diana at home for five and a half days , who died "of starvation and dehydration", was motivated by a "futile and selfish motive", namely "to give herself some space for autonomy, specifically a long weekend with her partner", "with respect to the priority right/duty to look after her little daughter" of one and a half years.
The Court of Assizes of Milan wrote this in the reasons for the sentence of last May 13th.
The baby was found lifeless on July 20, 2022 in a camping cot with only a baby bottle and a water bottle next to her. Empty.
