The doctor was violently beaten by a 36-year-old, convinced he had a serious infectious disease of the spine, and is currently hospitalized in intensive care at Umberto I with a facial head injury and several facial fractures.
The secretary and some patients outside the office who heard the screams called for help. The 36-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is now in Regina Coeli prison.
According to what Ansa posted, Le Foche is "in critical but not life-threatening conditions".
