Choc in Empoli (Florence), where a body was found inside a container for separate waste collection in a paper company.

The terrible discovery was made around 10.30 by an employee with paper sorting tasks: the worker found the body while emptying the container with a crane equipped with a mechanical arm and gripper.

The carabinieri immediately arrived on the scene and identified the victim, a twenty-year-old Somali. The hypothesis is that the young man was hit and killed by the movement of the crane that was emptying the container with a mechanical arm and gripper, the death according to the first forensic inspections would go back to a few hours before the discovery.

The body has no injuries other than a wound at the forehead, which could have been caused by the crane's gripper.

The compacting trucks put the paper in that container and collect them from the differentiated bins. It is thought that the 20-year-old fell asleep in the dumpster and there he may have had an illness that did not allow him to wake up when there was the first emptying. But only the autopsy, ordered by the prosecutor on duty Antonino Nastasi, will be able to clarify the exact cause of death.
