The press release from Chiara Ferragni's companies has arrived on the matter linked to the Easter Eggs-Giochi Preziosi case "which the antitrust authority - explains the entrepreneur - has closed by accepting the commitments on which Tbs Crew and Fenice have worked in recent months". The Competition and Market Authority has concluded the investigation opened last January into the dissemination of commercial communications with which the "Ferragni branded" eggs were advertised for Easter 2021 and 2022. The sale was associated with a charitable initiative favor of the social enterprise "I Bambini delle Fate". Through the investigation, the Authority intended to verify whether the information could lead consumers to believe that, by purchasing Ferragni's eggs, they would contribute to financially supporting the social enterprise.

Now the influencer's companies will pay 1.2 million euros to the Children of the Fairies and 100 thousand will be paid by the company producing the dessert and owner of the "Dolci Preziosi" brand, Cerealitalia. A payment which - Chiara Ferragni underlined in a story on Instagram - "consists of a voluntary economic contribution which is therefore a donation and not a sanction". For the Antitrust, all the companies involved in the proceedings presented commitments which were positively evaluated and made binding on them. In addition to financial devolution commitments, they have committed to clearly and permanently separating commercial activities from charitable activities.

Ferragni, in his video, says that his companies "then take on the commitment, which I particularly care about, of the total separation of commercial operations from charitable activities which in any case - he guarantees - we will not stop doing".

«The transparency operation launched by Codacons already in 2020 to protect citizens from opaque or deceptive charity operations has successfully concluded – comments Carlo Rienzi, president of Codacons -. We believe the Antitrust's decision to replace sanctions with donations in favor of those most in need is correct, but the most important thing is that the absurd combination between charity and product sales is finally stopped."
