Sixteen-Year-Old Gives Birth at Home, Lifeless Body Found in Bucket on Balcony

A 16-year-old girl gave birth at home last night and her little body was found lifeless in a bucket on the balcony , wrapped in a towel.

It happens in a center of the Milanese hinterland . The 118 men who intervened on the spot were alerted by the reports of the neighbors who heard the screams of the young woman asking for help.
The tragedy was discovered around 10am and it was the girl herself who indicated where the body was. The 118 operators attempted resuscitation maneuvers, but without success.

The case is being handled by the Monza Prosecutor's Office, which will order an autopsy to establish whether it was an abortion and whether the baby was already dead at the time of birth . The investigations are being entrusted to the Carabinieri.

They are also trying to understand if the family members were aware of the pregnancy. The minor, born in Italy to a foreign family, was reportedly at home with her mother .
