The Court of Assizes of Padua sentenced Valentina Boscaro to 24 years of imprisonment , the young woman who stabbed her boyfriend, Mattia Caruso, to the heart at the height of an argument in the car park of a club in Albignasego (Padua), in September of 2022.

Prosecutor Valeria Sanzari had asked for a life sentence for Boscaro, accused of voluntary homicide aggravated by an emotional relationship .

«Valentina has never regretted it, cold and cruel. He stabbed the heart with his right hand", he said during the indictment, recalling how Boscaro had lied about the circumstances of the crime, indicating a "Maghrebi" as the person responsible.

The girl always claimed to have acted out of fear but, according to the prosecutor, she wanted to "manipulate the seriousness of the fact".
