The 19-year-old boy of Indian origin considered the presumed murderer of Sara Centelleghe, the 18-year-old girl found dead last night in her apartment in Costa Volpino (Bergamo) , has been arrested.

According to the Carabinieri, "consistent evidence of guilt" was collected against the 19-year-old, who lives in an apartment in a building near the victim's, and who was therefore arrested on charges of voluntary homicide. No other people are under investigation.

The girl was stabbed to death. She was at home with the 19-year-old arrested and another friend, who at the time of the crime had gone down to get some drinks from the vending machine .

The young man was grilled for hours in the Costa Volpino barracks and allegedly made some admissions. The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri, are coordinated by the prosecutor in charge of the case Giampiero Golluccio.

The body was found today at dawn in the victim's apartment, in via Nazionale. The alarm was raised by the friend, who had gone down to buy drinks at the vending machine and when she returned she found Sara lifeless, stabbed. She screamed and called for help, then the neighbors intervened and alerted 118. The doctors could do nothing.

The trail of a crime that had matured within the circle of acquaintances was immediately followed, robbery was ruled out because nothing was taken from the house. Sara Centelleghe lived in that apartment with her separated mother, she was a student at the professional socio-sanitary institute of Lovere (Bergamo).
