The Court of Assizes of Appeal of Rome has sentenced Anastasiya Kylemnyk to three years in prison , accused of violating the law on narcotics in the case related to the murder of Luca Sacchi which occurred on the night between 23 and 24 October 2019.

The judges also handed down a sentence of 25 years for Marcello De Propris and 24 years and 1 month for Paolo Pirino.

The boy was killed on the street by Valerio Del Grosso, who has already been sentenced to 27 years . The crime was committed in the context of a drug deal that did not go through .

"We are satisfied with the sentence, justice has been done: we were interested in the confirmation of the sentence - comments Alfonso, father of Sacchi -. We have lost a son, they will find themselves with children tomorrow, we will not".

On May 16, the Court of Cassation ordered a new appeal trial for the three defendants. In particular, according to the prosecution, Pirino was present at the crime scene that night with Del Grosso, while De Propris supplied the weapon with which Sacchi was killed with a shot to the head. The incident occurred outside a pub in the Colli Albani area: Sacchi was in the company of his girlfriend Anastasiya and some friends.

Del Grosso shot while attempting to rob the girl who had 70 thousand euros in her backpack , money that was never found and which would have been used to buy around 15 kilos of marijuana .

During the closing speech, Attorney General Carlo Lasperanza stated that "the real cause of this murder is drugs. It is the market of narcotics that leads to these tragedies. In this trial, drug dealing was underestimated, but there was an association, a 'group' as the Court of Cassation calls it, in which everyone had their own task".

Referring to Kylemnyk's role, the prosecution representative stated in court that "she never cooperated with the investigation, this says a lot about her personality, even in the face of her boyfriend's death she tried to protect herself, saying that the 70 thousand euros were needed for a 'motorcycle problem'".
