One of the two heroic policemen who, about a month ago, saved the lives of a one-and-a-half-year-old child and his mother during a fire that broke out in Rome is from Capoterra . Enrico Leonello, 39 , an officer serving at the Capital Police Headquarters, worked hard with his colleague Salvatore to save them, while the Fire Brigade put out the flames.
The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, publicly congratulated them yesterday. "They were returning to the barracks when, via radio, they heard the report of a fire in a building," he explained on social media, "When they arrived on site, they found themselves faced with a dramatic scene: smoke everywhere, people on the balconies, including a young woman with a child in her arms. Enrico and Salvatore did not hesitate and saved them."
Congratulations also from the mayor of Capoterra, Beniamino Garau: «We proudly join the minister's words».
