Matteo Ricci, Democratic Party candidate for the presidency of the Marche Region , said this in an interview with Klaus Davi for the YouTube talk KlausCondicio. He is challenging the outgoing president and FdI candidate Francesco Acquaroli in the vote on September 28th and 29th.

"I would name a square after Michela Murgia if I were to return as mayor," he said.

"I think she was one of the most important writers of our time, a great feminist, a great fighter in every way , even against the illness she suffered. A person who deserves to have a square, a street, or at least a public place named after her."
