Retired, but still at work: 71-year-old worker dies falling from 14 meters

A 71-year-old worker - Giuseppe Danieli - died at the Niguarda hospital in Milan after falling from a height of 14 meters while working on a roof in Senago, in the Milan area, inside a company that produces industrial machinery.
The man was retired, but worked regularly for a contractor who was carrying out maintenance work on the roof.
Thursday he had fallen and ended up in a hole two meters deep.
After the alarm, the 118 rescuers, the firefighters and the local police officers had intervened on the spot.
The man, taken to hospital in critical condition, died after being admitted.
The Monza prosecutor's office is handling the investigations.
