Pope Francis lashes out against tricks and surgery.

And he criticizes those who cultivate " the myth of eternal youth as the desperate obsession of incorruptible flesh".

" Too many tricks, too many surgeries ", Bergoglio affirmed in the general audience, continuing the catechesis on old age.

And he also mentions Anna Magnani, when she asked not to hide her wrinkles because she had " taken so many years to get them ".

“Wrinkles - continues the Holy Father - are testimony of experience, of maturity . And wisdom is like good wine, the older you get, the better it is ”.
