Tragedy last night in Villongo, in the province of Bergamo, where a 6-year-old girl died after being hit on the head by a swing.

Little Ritej Lahmar, daughter of a couple of Moroccan origins, was at the "Don Abele Agostinelli" playground in Piazza Vittorio Veneto in the evening. She was with her mother and a group of friends and, according to an initial reconstruction, she was swinging on the swing for disabled people when she lost her balance and fell. While she was on the ground, the seat hit her on the head, seriously injuring her.

When the alarm was raised, ambulances sent by 118 arrived on site, and their paramedics performed a resuscitation maneuver. The little girl was then taken by helicopter to Papa Giovanni, but died during transport, around 11:00 p.m.

The little girl would have turned 7 in October and was due to start first grade next week.
