A large 15-meter-high pine tree broke due to strong winds and fell to the ground, hitting five people .

It happens on the campus of the University of Salerno, in Fisciano, near the Faculty of Engineering.

Of the five injured, two were treated on site, the other three are all in serious condition and were transported to the Ruggi hospital with a red code. They are three people aged 20, 25 and 48 , all with multiple injuries and fractures. They were trapped under the tree and the intervention of the Fire Department was necessary to free them.

The Police, the Carabinieri of the Mercato San Severino company and the ambulances were also on site. The rector of the University, Vincenzo Loria, also arrived to check on the conditions of the injured. The area was placed under sequestration.
