"We demand justice and a life sentence." Pier Giuseppe Rota, the partner of Pamela Genini's mother—the 29-year-old murdered on October 14th in her Milan home—explained this to reporters shortly before the start of the Assize Court trial against her ex-partner Gianluca Soncin, a 53-year-old businessman accused of cruelly and premeditatedly killing her with 76 stab wounds, after breaking into her home and secretly making a copy of the keys.
Pamela's mother, Una Smirnova, also arrived in court. She will be joining the civil action with her lawyer, Nicodemo Gentile. "Bastard!" she shouted when Soncin entered the courtroom, accompanied by the prison police. She cried and was led out of the courtroom by her lawyer.
Francesco Dolci (not present in court), a former friend of the 29-year-old who was on the phone with her when she was killed, will also ask to be a civil party, along with lawyer Eleonora Prandi. Dolci is also under investigation in Bergamo for the desecration of the tomb and the theft of her head, which has not yet been found.
Regarding the corpse desecration case, the partner of Una Smirnova, Pamela's mother, explained, "Investigators are on a good track. I have no comment on Dolci's civil suit; in my opinion, it should be thrown out. We don't know whether Dolci did this or not. Out of his obsession and hatred for his family, he also sidetracked the investigation."
Soncin also in the courtroom.
