Murder this morning in Palermo , in via Mulino 32 in the Boccadifalco hamlet, on the southern outskirts of the Sicilian city.

A 32-year-old young man, Aleandro Guadagna, was shot dead in the street , at the height of a dispute with the landlord over some unpaid months' rent.

On the scene of the carabinieri and 118 personnel, the road was closed to traffic and the scenes of family and friends crying in front of the body of the murdered young man are heartbreaking .

Investigators would already be on the trail of the killer. According to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri of the investigative unit , the murderer would have waited for the victim to come out of the front door, in via Molino 32, before firing . Then, he fled. Guadagna's family members immediately called 112, an ambulance arrived within minutes, but the doctors could do nothing but confirm the death.

Some witnesses told of disputes over unpaid rent to the landlord . And the investigations immediately embarked on a precise track: the carabinieri went to the suspect's house, but did not find him . Then they managed to track him down and arrested him and took him to the barracks. The man had left early, leaving a letter to his family explaining that he was going to meet the tenant to settle the rent issue.
