After weeks of controversy and accusations, the story of the missing dumpsters in front of the Roman home of actor and director Sergio Castellitto and writer Margaret Mazzantini, in the elegant Parioli neighborhood, has come to an end.
The technicians of the municipal company Ama are reinstalling the containers that had been removed from their usual location, that is, in front of the door of the Castellitto-Mazzantini house, and that had reappeared in the courtyard of the couple's home.
A move that had sparked discontent among residents with neighborhood committees who had publicly denounced, as Repubblica had reported, that they no longer knew where to throw away their garbage.
The actor and the writer had however clarified that the move had taken place regularly: «Those bins were temporarily removed with a regular request for occupation of public land». Ama had made it known that he had received a request to move the bins due to a regularly authorised road construction site and that, once the work was finished, he would have taken steps to restore the situation.
Confirmed news: the repositioning will be completed in the next few hours, thus closing the controversy.
