Lorenza Scarpante, the wife of Giuseppe Marra, the 59-year-old found dead at home yesterday morning in his apartment on the third floor of a building on via Zanolini, in Bologna, with head injuries, was arrested last night by the Carabinieri.

The provision was issued by the prosecutor Manuela Cavallo, following the investigative activities of the investigative unit and the military of the Bologna Centro Company.

The 56-year-old, defended by the lawyer Cristiana Soverini, and investigated for aggravated homicide, was arrested and taken to a penitentiary institution, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.

From what we understand, Scarpante, questioned by the prosecutor Manuela Cavallo, rejected the accusations.

"She was interviewed by the public prosecutor and is clearly in shock, she answered all the questions and denies all charges, she tried to collaborate," said her lawyer. The 56-year-old essentially said she found her husband "in those conditions." The lawyer also noted the significant difference in physical prowess between the woman and the man.

Yesterday afternoon, given her condition, Scarpante was taken by ambulance to the Sant'Orsola hospital, then she was interrogated.
