A serious and sudden mourning affects the world of journalism.

Andrea Purgatori, journalist, screenwriter, author, born in 1953, died this morning in hospital in Rome after a brief fulminating illness.

The news was given by their children Edoardo, Ludovico, Victoria and by the family represented by the Cau law firm.

For years Purgatori, born in Rome, worked for Corriere della Sera dealing with terrorism, intelligence, crime, and dedicated himself with tenacity, among other things, to the Ustica massacre of 1980.

Reportage author, he successfully conducted Atlantis on La7. Screenplay teacher, advisor to the authors, among his latest works the participation in the Vatican Girl docu-series on the case of Emanuela Orlandi.
