The alleged murderer of the mother and the baby of several months found dead last Saturday in Villa Pamphili in Rome has been arrested in Greece. He is an American citizen, his name is Rexal Ford, he is 46 years old and has a criminal record in the United States. He told investigators that the child "was his daughter", said the deputy prosecutor of Rome Giuseppe Cascini, "but at the moment there are no scientific elements to be certain of the parental relationship".

The woman and the little girl found dead last Saturday in the park, according to what has emerged, could also be American . The investigators reached the breakthrough thanks to a tip that arrived Wednesday evening on the TV program "Chi l'ha visto?". A viewer called recalling that, days before the discovery, he had seen a woman and a man arguing heatedly not far from Villa Doria Pamphili.

A heated and violent fight, so much so that it required the intervention of the police. A police car arrived on the scene and identified the woman: the man had therefore already fled abroad. For this reason, yesterday, his name was released as a precaution to all international police forces: it is   wanted on charges of aggravated double homicide.

Investigators have reconstructed the last days of the life of the girl who was 29 years old and her daughter . In the week before the discovery they used the tables of the San Silverio market, in the San Pietro area, to eat and used the bathrooms to wash. "The face was always hidden by the hat, sunglasses and a beard. He was very tall, robust and had a threatening attitude. I heard them speak only once and they spoke in English to each other", a shopkeeper reportedly said.

A homeless man instead recalled: "That man was violent. A month ago he attacked a child who was playing and disturbed him."
