Sigh of relief for a 42-year-old woman from Spoltore and her 5-year-old daughter , who since yesterday afternoon were reported missing on the Maiella , in the Orfento valley, in the territory of Caramanici (Pescara).

They were found safe and sound around 4.30 in the morning .

During an excursion the woman took a different path with the child, but it seems that due to the child's injury she was then unable to continue .

So the woman called another son, who in turn alerted the carabinieri who activated the mountain rescue protocol involving the Alpine Rescue.

A ground team from Penne station has left and the dog unit has been activated.

Great concern for the weather conditions , which especially at night in these days and in these areas has fallen with very low temperatures, but in the end everything went well.

The two identified along the path that goes towards the Hermitage of San Onofrio was by a team of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue, assisted by canine units of the national association of the Carabinieri. Reported to the valley, mother and daughter were visited by the 118 health workers and the medical center of Caramanico Terme. They are fine, but they were cold and scared .
