Tragic hunting accident this morning in the Cuneo area, in Baldissero d'Alba. A 33-year-old man died, hit by a bullet accidentally fired during a drive in the Baroli area.

118 intervened on the spot with the Carabinieri of the Company of Bra, who investigate the incident.

The young man, the initials LO, was with a hunting companion, almost on the border with the municipality of Ceresola. He was hit by a third hunter from another group, who fired from a distance of several tens of meters.

The 33-year-old, originally from Carmagnola in the Turin area, was mistaken for a wild boar and hit by a single shot, which was fatal.

The Public Prosecutor of Asti has opened a file: the prosecutor on duty and the coroner have also reached the place of the tragedy, before the transfer of the body to the young man's country of origin.

The carabinieri of the company of Bra are reconstructing the dynamics and have collected the testimonies of the two groups of hunters who would have crossed paths in the same area by mistake.
