Mattarella-Macron phone call: "Collaboration between the two States"

The will is clear: to mend the rift created after the disputes of recent days between the Italian and French governments on the issue of migrants and NGOs . The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron .

During the call, both heads of state underlined the importance of the relationship between the two countries and confirmed the need for their full cooperation in every sector, both bilaterally and within the European Union.

The news of the renewed agreement was made known in a joint press release , present on the home page of the Quirinale website and on that of the Elysée .
