A drama within a drama. It is that of Silvia Mereu, a pharmacist of Sardinian origin , who saw Mattia, her 8-year-old son snatch from her arms during the flood that devastated the Municipality of Barbara (Ancona) , one of the Marche centers most devastated by bad weather. hours .

The woman - about 40 years old - was on her way to her mother, but her car was overwhelmed by the flood wave of the Misa stream . The car was dragged away: she was saved, while her son unfortunately ended up among the missing.

The parents of Mereu, from Urzulei , had emigrated to the Marche where many family members had already moved over the years, who had left Sardinia in search of fortune.

Two other women were missing: Brunella Chiu, 56, and her 17-year-old daughter .

The searches are conducted by the Civil Protection and by the firefighters .
