The fight that broke out last night in a house on via Don Morosini in Ferentino , in the province of Frosinone , ended in bloodshed . A couple began arguing in an increasingly heated manner, until a kitchen knife appeared with which the woman, 57, stabbed her 50-year-old partner.

The Anagni Carabinieri intervened on the scene. They alerted 118 and had the injured man transported to the Emergency Room of the Spaziani hospital in Frosinone.

The man had a stab wound to his neck, but no vital vessels appeared to have been severed.

The investigations are now being carried out by the Carabinieri of the Anagni Operations Unit in collaboration with their colleagues in Ferentino: they are reconstructing the family context in which the fight occurred, whether the woman attacked her partner at the height of the fight or was defending herself.

A briefing is expected today for the magistrate on duty at the Frosinone Public Prosecutor's Office.
