Moments of terror in front of the carabinieri barracks in Rende, in the province of Cosenza.

A man of about 35 set himself on fire and suffered severe burns.

Then the rescue and transport to the hospital.

The police investigate the incident. At the moment the reasons for the gesture are not known.

According to initial information, the man got out of a car with a petrol can in hand and walked towards the entrance to the barracks, where he carried out the extreme gesture.

Some employees of a tire shop gave first aid, who then alerted 112.
