Yet another case of violence against women in Mestre , after the arrest of Sardinian Massimiliano Mulas, accused of raping an eleven-year-old.

A 32-year-old woman was held captive and raped for five days in an old abandoned building in the city center . The victim managed to free herself and get help, and doctors diagnosed the violence she had suffered.

A 32-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri for the episode.

The incident occurred in a building, former headquarters of Telecom, unused for over 10 years and a refuge for drug addicts, dealers and the homeless. The police, thanks to public and private cameras in the area, are reconstructing the identities of those who, in recent days, have illegally entered the building (largely walled up) to assess whether there are responsibilities on the part of other individuals.

The woman had been held captive by the man, according to the reconstruction by the police, and taking advantage of a moment of distraction she attempted to escape. The fences prevented her from reaching the road but by going down into the garden she managed to ask for help from shopkeepers and passers-by .

The attacker saw her and tried to bring her back inside, but the Carabinieri and local police intervened and blocked him, making the 32-year-old safe.
