The Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli passed the last exam of his career as a student of Philosophy at the University La Sapienza in Rome with a grade of thirty. "For reasons of public order, we brought forward the exam to 8," Professor Gaetano Lettieri, the teacher with whom he took the oral exam of Theory of Theological Doctrines, told reporters.

Giuli, 49, was seen arriving in the usual ministerial car at eight o'clock sharp, and then entering the university's Faculty of Arts. Even members of the communist youth organization Cambiare Rotta, who had been waiting for him for a protest announced days ago - which was the probable reason behind the change of schedule - did not meet him . According to Nicolas, a student who was on the professor's study floor when the minister arrived, "the corridor was off limits" during the interrogation and the staff members "didn't let anyone in."

A statement denied by the dean of the faculty, Arianna Punzi, who claimed that the exam "was not held behind closed doors" : "nothing irregular" had happened, she clarified.

Immediately afterward, Professor Lettieri left the office, where in the meantime he had begun questioning the other students registered for the roll call. "There were some police officers for obvious security reasons," he replied, "the door was open, the exam was clear, the difficult questions were timely, and Alessandro Giuli answered with great competence." Furthermore, "there were two other people," he explained to reporters, "who were not assistants, I saw two students present," and the choice to move the time, he added, "was made by me."

With the now almost-graduate Giuli gone for an hour, about twenty members of the Cambiare Rotta collective protested on the steps of the Literature building, in front of the dean. "It is an insult that in this very faculty, where two anti-fascist students were killed, a Minister of Culture with historical and political roots tied to Meridiano Zero should come," a protester said into a megaphone. In the hands of the young people, a banner that read "We fail Giuli! We fail fascism and the culture of precariousness. For a new culture".

Meanwhile, Giuli's next appointment at university should be in January 2025. "When she has finished her thesis and it is presentable and debatable," she will graduate, said Lettieri, who is also her supervisor: "The topic is Costantino."
