Moments of fear for a young Sardinian on board a regional train between Lecco and Milan.
The boy – 18 years old – was approached by a young man of Egyptian origin , his peer, who sat down next to him and started to make conversation . Suddenly, however, he tried to rob him, trying to snatch his backpack . But the 18 year old managed to prevent the robbery and at that point the attacker, before fleeing, kicked him in the back.
Not satisfied, the robber tried again – on the same train – with another young passenger, whose wallet he tried to snatch by punching him.
But by then the alarm had been raised on board due to the presence of the criminal and the train conductor alerted the police. The young robber took refuge in a bathroom and locked himself in . Finally, at the Monza station, the Railway Police officers got on board and “flushed” him out of the toilet before handcuffing him.
