After hours of searching, the two women were found dead who had been missing since late yesterday in the upper Valmalenco, in Lanzada, in the province of Sondrio, after entering the Fellaria torrent to try to save the dog of one of them.

When they saw the dog floundering in the impetuous and icy waters of the stream, Rosa Corallo and Veronica Malini, inseparable friends, threw themselves to help him. But they never resurfaced.

Several teams of rescuers had mobilized to look for them. Today the bad news: the two bodies were found a short time away, dragged downstream by the current.

A helicopter of the Guardia di Finanza, which took off from the air base of Venegono (Varese), brought the body bags to the airfield of Caiolo (Sondrio): here the hearse will take them to the morgue of the civil hospital of Sondrio, available of the Prosecutor of Sondrio.
