Moments of fear aboard the Gnv Allegra ship set sail from Genoa and headed for Porto Torres .
A passenger suffered a heart attack shortly after leaving the Ligurian capital, about twenty miles from the coast.
The alarm was immediately sent to the Port Authority, which sent the fire brigade Drago helicopter, with 118 medical personnel on board, and a patrol boat.
The passenger was thus rescued and urgently transported to the San Martino hospital in Genoa after being disembarked at the Porto Antico.
