Three people died and one person was seriously injured. This is the toll from a car accident that occurred on the night between Saturday and Sunday in Rome, in the Tor San Lorenzo area.

According to an initial reconstruction, two cars collided head-on, perhaps due to a reckless overtaking manoeuvre on a bend.

The victims are a 70-year-old man, his 63-year-old wife, who was traveling with him, and a 37-year-old man who was in the other car. A fourth person, the couple's son, suffered serious injuries, but his life is not thought to be in danger.
