A 52-year-old man deliberately hit his wife and a friend of the woman with his car, killing the latter.

It happened in the industrial area of Catania. The man then called the police to turn himself in and confess.

His 56-year-old wife, Anna Longo, is hospitalized in the San Marco hospital. The victim was 69 years old and was originally from Ennese, her name was Cettina De Bormida.

The mobile team coordinated by the Catania District Attorney's Office is investigating the case.

The man, Piero Maurizio Nasca, 52, was stopped and confirmed that he had acted deliberately : aggravated murder and attempted murder are the disputed crimes.

Nasca was on trial for raping his wife , who had drawn closer to him. According to what was reconstructed by the Public Prosecutor's Office , the main objective was Cettina De Bormida, in his opinion "guilty" of having tried to convince his wife to leave him . The man had also been reported for crimes against heritage and, in 2018, subjected to the admonition of the Quaestor.
