He approached a student with an excuse , then convinced her to get into his car and raped her there. It happened in Rome , in via della Magliana , last May 8th. The person arrested for rape is Simone Borgese , a 39-year-old Roman, already sentenced in 2015 to seven years for another attack, against a taxi driver in Piana del Sole, and in 2022 for having abused a 17-year-old in an elevator in Rome (episode dating back to 2014). The man was arrested 30 days after the third rape , this time against a 26-year-old.

Released from prison in 2021, he has now been identified again by investigators after the girl's complaint. According to what has been reconstructed, he would have lured the victim while he was waiting for the bus stop. He would have asked her for directions "to reach the ring road", so she got into the vehicle to give him a hand. But it was a trap , in fact shortly after the driver set off towards an isolated area and there he molested and raped the 26-year-old.

After the investigations and photographic identification of the subject, Borgese is now under house arrest. The suspicion , given the precedents, is that he is a serial rapist .
