He lives for three months with his partner's body on the sofa

For at least three months he lived with his partner's body on the sofa. The macabre discovery was made by the Carabinieri of the Trastevere Company in an apartment in the Porta Portese area of Rome. Engaged in a home check, they had the door of the house open by a 65-year-old. When they entered, the military found the body of an 80-year-old in an advanced state of decomposition, and a nauseating smell.

The man is now accused of concealing a corpse, while the investigations continue and an autopsy has been ordered on the woman's body.
