Just a few hours earlier, aboard a cruise ship and in front of everyone, he had asked his beloved Valentina to marry him . Then, the drama : an illness, the desperate intervention of the doctors, but for him there was nothing to do. Silvio Maisti, 35, died of a heart attack that left him no escape .

The two companions, who had just become parents of a child for just a year, had decided to treat themselves to a relaxing holiday in the Mediterranean, aboard a luxurious MSC ship .

And there, with the complicity of the crew, Silvio had decided to take the plunge: Saturday evening he went on stage, took the microphone and, handing her the ring, asked Valentina to marry him, amid applause and emotion of those present .

Then the return of the couple to the berth with the baby, and in the night the tragedy: shortly before the ship's arrival in Civitavecchia, Valentina's illness and desperate attempt to ask for help, to save her Silvio, but for him the doctors of edge nothing they could.

Now, however, an accusation also comes from the boy's family: not enough was done on board the boat to save Silvio's life . "Emergency services were called immediately but they arrived late, when there was nothing left to do" the few words of Valentina's father-in-law and father, who was also on board the ship. «When we arrived in Civitavecchia, the Farnesina had to intervene to get the forces of order on board. No one took care of us and no one offered us condolences."

Now the investigations will have to ascertain what happened, an autopsy has been ordered on the young man's body.
