What happened around 4 in the morning to two Roman girls aged 23 and 22 in via Nomentana in Rome could have ended in tragedy. According to what has been reconstructed, the two young women, who had just left the house of some acquaintances and were arriving for an appointment with the mother of one of them, were arguing on the street when they were approached by a man, a 42-year-old with numerous precedents for crimes against the person, in the car.

"Everything okay?" Asked the man in his twenties. “There are no problems, everything is solved, leave us alone”, they replied.

The forty-year-old, however, continued to annoy them, following them with the car. The young women then, alarmed, accelerated their pace. At via Morrovalle, the 42-year-old suddenly decided to run over the girls. One of the two was thrown a few meters due to the impact, while the other was hit less severely. The two friends were then rescued and transported to the emergency room.

The agents of the San Basilio, Fidene and Sant'Ippolito police stations set off on the man's trail, and soon after they arrested him for attempted murder.

The conditions of the girls, which appeared serious at first, fortunately turned out to be less serious. The young women were in fact discharged from the emergency room with a prognosis of 10 days.
