Giacomo Bozzoli was taken. The police stopped him in Soiano del Garda. He had been on the run for 10 days.

The thirty-nine year old was on the run after being definitively sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his uncle Mario and the destruction of his corpse in the foundry oven in Marcheno, in the province of Brescia, on 8 October 2015.

“The soldiers found him hidden inside a chest of drawers of the double bed and he had 50 thousand euros in cash hidden in a bag with him,” explained the prosecutor Francesco Prete.

From Marbella, Spain, where he had been spotted in recent days, he would have returned to Italy in a rental car, after having grown a beard and mustache in an attempt not to be recognised.

“He reiterated that he is innocent and that he will do everything he can to have the sentence revised,” added the Chief Prosecutor.
