The four State Police officers under investigation in the investigation that led to the arrest of Carmelo Cinturrino , the assistant chief of the Mecenate Police Station arrested for the voluntary homicide of Abderrahim Mansouri which took place on 26 January in the 'grove' of Rogoredo, in Milan, have been transferred.
The four were transferred to non-operational positions in locations other than the police station where they served .
This move represents a further acceleration in the case, but it will take some time to determine whether and how Cinturrino's colleagues are involved.
Obviously, the desire to proceed quickly remains, as confirmed yesterday during the visit to the Police Headquarters by the Chief of Police, Vittorio Pisani, but there are deadlines to be respected both on the investigative and disciplinary fronts .
From witness accounts to Flying Squad investigators , comments and anecdotes highlighting the chief assistant's irregular conduct are multiplying. The investigation, however, will need to find reliable evidence to substantiate the insinuations and rumors, especially among the allegations emerging from the world of drug dealing and drug addiction, which are often unreliable.
Preliminary procedures and the investigation are also continuing, which should lead, perhaps as early as next week, to the first disciplinary meeting for Cinturrino . The effort is being made to proceed quickly, but the risk of later appeals requires that each step be formulated in accordance with the regulations.
