Flavia Mello Agonigi, the 54-year-old woman of Brazilian origin but Italian citizen, resident in Pontedera (Pisa), disappeared a few kilometers from her home on October 12 after spending an evening with friends in a club in the province of Pistoia, the Don Carlos in Chiesina Uzzanese.
Her lifeless body was found yesterday afternoon inside the cistern of the cellar of a house in Sant'Ermo, a hamlet of the municipality of Casciana Terme Lari, in the hills of Valdera. Flavia was stabbed to death, probably the same night she disappeared, and the murder suspect is a 34-year-old Italian, Emanuele Nannetti, resident in the same municipality where the body was found .
The man, arrested and taken to the police station, allegedly made some admissions. The investigations conducted by the State Police allowed them to locate the woman's car, the Opel Mokka, which had disappeared with her since October 12. The car was regularly parked and locked. Investigators quickly identified the house where the woman's body was located, and according to what was learned, she was stabbed to death . The motive is still unclear, but it seems certain that the man arrested and suspected of the murder was the individual with whom Flavia had an appointment on the night of her disappearance .
It is not excluded that the turning point in the investigation came thanks to the acquisition of the laptop that the flying squad recovered last October 21 in the house where Flavia lived with her husband immediately after the decision of the prosecutor to open a file against unknown persons with the hypothesis of homicide. The analysis of the computer media could have in fact helped the investigators to direct the investigations towards the woman's acquaintances by cross-referencing them with the direct testimonies acquired from her friends immediately after her disappearance and who had already reported that Flavia had left the disco saying she had "an appointment" .
