A phone call to 112 from Sardinia: "My ex killed his current partner" . A failed raid on a house in the Ancona area, where the couple lived until recently. Then the woman's body was found in the couple's new home in Spoleto (Perugia), after her husband was found on the Ponte delle Torri threatening suicide, telling anyone who approached him: "I killed my wife" .
The victim was probably strangled, the man, a 47-year-old salesman, was taken to the police station and his position is being examined by investigators. The apartment where the body was found is located in Corso Garibaldi, near the historic center of Spoleto.
The police are in charge of the investigation, the coroner and the Police Headquarters' mobile squad are on site.
As part of the investigation, a raid was also carried out on a house in Marzocca di Senigallia, in the Ancona area, where the victim previously lived with her husband. The raid was triggered by a phone call to 112 from the island, from the former Sardinian partner of the salesman, to whom the man had most likely just told about the femicide . The woman reported that her ex-husband had killed his current partner, providing her personal details and address. But the house was empty because the couple had moved to Spoleto, the neighbors had last seen him a week ago.
