Sister Paola , well known in the world of football and among Lazio fans for her television appearances on “Quelli che il calcio” as a Lazio fan , has died. The nun, born Rita D'Auria, was 77 years old.

Thanks to his fame he has supported charitable and religious activities and initiatives, especially through the So.Spe association, working in particular for young people in difficulty and prisoners.

"SS Lazio, led by President Claudio Lotito and Dr. Cristina Mezzaroma, shares with deep emotion the mourning for the passing of Sister Paola D'Auria, a fervent nun and proud ambassador of Lazioness," reads the Biancoceleste club's website. " Her family home gave solidarity and hope (like the name of her association) to many young people, prisoners, victims of poverty and violence, single mothers and people wounded by the social problems of our time," continues the club's note. " Her smile will be missed, but the humanity of her collaborators in continuing what she created will certainly not cease ."

"Dear Paola, dear Sister Paola. Thank you for the affection you have always given me . And thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you have done for all those to whom you have dedicated your life. A final hug" the memory of Fabio Fazio on the social page of "Che tempo che fa".

The former host of “Quelli che il calcio” published a photo of himself with Sister Paola and Idris Sanneh, another well-known face of the program, a great Juventus fan, who passed away in August 2023 at the age of 72.
